Here at The Indie Exchange we are extremely proud to be taking part in Celebrating Bloggers – because we do celebrate them, each and every day. It’s not always easy getting your work seen as an indie author but thankfully there are scores of devoted and dedicated bloggers putting in hours every day trying to spread the word. Here on TIE we’ve interviewed bloggers who put in 30-40 hours a week on top of full-time work or family commitments. Why do they do it? Well, it certainly isn’t for fame or money. It probably isn’t for the books – even if they weren’t getting the freebies I’m pretty sure their bookshelves would be straining!
So why? They do it for love… They do it for love of books, love of words. They do it because they genuinely care. They do it because they do actually make a difference. Take Terri Giuliano Long, the sponsor of this event, who praises book bloggers as the ‘Fairy Godmothers and Godfathers of the Literary Community’. Their support has been vital to her in her journey and she fully believes it is their support that has led to sales of over 120,000 copies of her debut novel.
Several members of The Indie Exchange are taking part in this great event, so we hope you’ll visit their blogs over the next few days and find out more. You can visit Terri’s blog to see the new posts every day and – if you’re taking part – leave your comment and link on that day’s new post.

Thanks to all the TIE members taking part in this great event.
It's nice to pay tribute to book bloggers for a change and especially heart-warming to have authors acknowledging the great work these geniuses do.
Many authors wouldn't be half as successful were it not for the bloggers. Long may they continue.
I'm taking part too, I think it's a wonderful idea! My post can be found here: http://rinnreads.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/celebrati…
I'm fairly new to the book blogging community, but I just love the blogger/author relationship – I never really realised that authors often took the time to personally contact bloggers, it makes me feel much more important :')
I've always loved reading, and I just love the fact that even if I don't have many people to share it with in my day to day life, when I'm online I have an endless amount of people to chat to about the latest release, my favourites or new authors!

I'm taking part, too. :)
The bunnies and I are blogging along with every one else. Stop by and see what we had to say. :-)
