Trailer Showcase: INZARED, Queen of the Elephant Riders

Each week a member of The Indie Exchange will be sharing their trailer and the story behind it.  This week, it’s L. Leander and INZARED, Queen of the Elephant Riders.

L. Leander says: “I have always had a video in my head while creating my YA novel, INZARED, Queen of the Elehant Riders.  I spent much time researching and taking pictures.  It was very difficult to find photos of a Gypsy Circus in 1843, but I had some that with work, could be integrated into the video.  I contacted Connie Chastain, of Wordslinger Boutique and told her what I envisioned.  I sent a synopsis and pictures and we exchanged emails.  Connie worked tirelessly to design a video that was true to the time and teased the reader about the subject.  The result is a trailer I am extremely proud of and that is the perfect companion to the novel. The book cover designer, Melissa Garlington along with Art Director Michael Latta, created a cover that is truly amazing and provides a perfect backdrop for the vintage circus.  I feel blessed to have such wonderful people help me on my video/publishing journey.”

About INZARED, Queen of the Elephant Riders

Inzared Bertha Maude Anderson has no inkling of how famous she will become. She lives in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina in the year 1843. Her world changes forever when she is enticed to join The Romanoff Brothers Circus and her name is changed to Inzared, Queen of the Elephant Riders. Inzared discovers her true calling while learning to live with the nomadic Gypsies. From the hatred shown by some of the performers to the love she finds along the way, Inzared finds herself immersed in the rich folklore and customs of the misunderstood people who call the circus their home. Her one constant is Cecil, the elephant, and together they form a bond that no one can break as Inzared finds herself lured into the world of the Gypsies while clinging to her own roots and trying to break free of the chains that keep her from her destiny.
