Each week a member of The Indie Exchange will be sharing their trailer and the story behind it. This week, it’s Keira Michelle Telford with her Trailer for SILVER: Acheron (A River of Pain).
Keira Michelle Telford says: “I made my book trailer before I realized that it was something a lot of authors do. I thought I was way ahead of the crowd. I thought I was a trendsetter … I was wrong. My trailer differs from most (if not all) other book trailers in that it’s well over a minute long (in fact, it’s over 3 minutes). It looks more like a standard movie trailer than a book trailer. It’s a mini-movie almost, and I guess that’s what I was aiming for.
I used stock video footage, stock images (all sourced from iStock.com) and had instrumental music written and recorded specifically for it. Would I do it all again, even now I know what a real book trailer is supposed to look like? Yes, probably. I’ve worked on a few indie film projects in the past, and I love editing. I enjoyed making this trailer, even if it doesn’t help to sell any books!”

Dishonorably discharged from the Hunter Division and banished for crimes she did not commit, Silver struggles to come to terms with her new prison-like surroundings: a segregated area of the city called the Fringe District, populated by murderers, thieves and rapists.
